Located around 16 kilometres southeast of the city center, the airport is named after the renowned Hungarian composer and pianist Franz Liszt. The airport features two terminals, Terminal 2A and Terminal 2B, with Terminal 1 no longer in operation. Terminal 2 is the main international terminal, divided into 2A for Schengen and 2B for non-Schengen flights. Budapest Airport is well-connected to the city and other parts of Hungary through taxis, airport shuttles, car rental services, and dedicated bus services to the city center. The airport has three runways, with the primary runway (13R/31L) measuring 3,707 meters (12,162 feet) in length.
