Levittown: America's First Suburb Adventure Lab

In 1947, as World War II Veterans were returning home, William Levitt began creating what was dubbed a Suburban Utopia. He created homes in a 27 step assembly line style with subcontractors responsible for each step. Levitt’s team was making 36 homes a day at peak production in July of 1948. The homes were enticing to veterans because they could be purchased for $6,900 with basically no down payment. Each home was built complete with kitchens that housed modern appliances, and even a television in each living room. This Adventure Lab will take you to many historical places in Levittown. Some of the places in this adventure have dates prior to the days of picturesque suburbia. Each journal will give you parts of coordinates to our Bonus Cache on the geocaching.com website or app!
