Ape Adventures

Welcome to Snoqualmie Pass, land of the Ape Cache! The Snoqualmie Pass area was the home of the last surviving Ape Cache in the United States. The "Mission 9: Tunnel of Light" cache affectionately called the "Ape Cache" survived almost 10 years before being archived in June 2011 after the cache went missing. The spirit of the Ape Cache lives on especially during the Washington State Geocaching Association's annual Going Ape Mega Event. For our 5th year hosting the event, we are hosting an "Ape Adventure" in the Snoqualmie Pass/Hyak area. This tour of 6 "Ape Adventure" lab caches will take you to some interesting locations that either have some historical significance or just has a great view of the surrounding mountains. We hope you enjoy your Ape Adventure!
