The Venture Park Region was built on a vision to feature diverse new attractions which include discovery, exploration, excitement, serenity and imagination zones. The region includes four parks nestled in the Platte River Valley landscape, which sit in and around the Omaha/Lincoln Metro areas: E.T. Mahoney State Park, Platte River State Park, Louisville State Recreation Area and Schramm Park State Recreation Area. The adventure is sponsored and can be done in a day, with a little time to play. You may want to fish, hike, get your feet wet in the creek or explore other spaces. There is a low to moderate amount of walking. Want to take your time? Make a weekend of it by planning an overnight stay at Louisville, Platte River or Mahoney. Note: A valid Nebraska Park Entry Permit is required for all vehicles. These may be purchased online at outdoornebraska.gov. They may also be purchased at NGPC offices and permit vendors. Please check current operations/hours due to Covid safety regulations.
